Three days walking in the Lake District
Do you need a short break but don't want to travel far?
Would you like to stay in a Hall with its origins in the 16th century?
Do you have 5 weekdays to spare and don't know what to do with them?
Find out below how one group achieved all of the above, with lots of exercise thrown in!
Two young ladies decided that they would like to
walk Fairfield Horseshoe but didn’t fancy driving to the Lakes and back home in
a day and after seeing a leaflet about accommodation at Rydal Hall they decided
that it would make an ideal base. By the time they arrived at Rydal Hall in the
first week of March, the two had become a group of ten.
Taking up residence on a Monday they departed on the following Friday. The
accommodation and food was good and the group enjoyed each other's company. The
weather was mainly cool and dry but was marred by Thursday's hail showers.
