HF Holidays have several centres in the UK. The one at Alnmouth is on the east coast north of Newcastle. There are a number of uninhabited sandy beaches with undulating terrain inland. The weather kept dry and the sun shone occasionally but there was usually a cool breeze coming off the North Sea. Transport to the various walk start points was part of the package as was dinner, bed, breakfast and a packed lunch. Entertainment was provided by the walk leaders in the evening, usually in the form of a quiz or dancing. The walks (all with a leader) are in three grades, easy, medium and hard. There are two itineraries and they alternate each week. Both appear to include beach walks and inland walks.
