| Time: | 5.5 hours | ||
| Weather: | Sunshine and Blue skies with frost on the ground but not too cold. | ||
| Comments: | On a cool but bright morning twenty five ramblers assembled at Spring Wood car park. Wearing his “Champions” shirt Captain Pugwash then led his entourage towards Read Hall and Read Heights. This was a gentle climb using frozen fields that crunched under foot rather than squelched under foot as per previous weeks. Hazy views could be seen to the south on the ascent whilst a 360 degree vista could be seen from Padiham Heights. Descending to Dean Farm, on the shaded side of Sabden Brook, frost still lingered on the ground and it was a little cool. However, on the sunny side of the brook it was quite pleasant and folk enjoyed lunch in the warming sun. Following a track into Sabden the group then returned to Spring Wood via Wiswell Moor and Clerk Hill. | ||
