| Comments: | 13 summer evening walkers met for the
start of the walk at 6.30pm at The Grapes in Wrea Green. Within the first few yards, it began to rain - hard. We followed the Big Black Cloud over increasingly wet fields and lanes until eventually the sun broke through and we were rewarded by a beautiful bright rainbow. By this time we were drying nicely so did not start looking for the pot of gold as the pub beckoned. A good meal was an excellent end to a damp walk, but nevertheless, congratulations to Gina and Daphne on this successful new initiative, even though the returning number was 10 as the other 3 had found their own way (we hope) home. |
