| Walk: | The Monk’s Road, Malham Tarn, Street Gate, Cote Gill, Littondale, River Skirfare | ||
| Start Point: | Arncliffe | Grid Reference: | SD 930 719 |
| Distance: | 12 miles | Ascent: | 1,700 feet |
| Time: | 5.25 hours | ||
| Weather: | A wet day, with low cloud and strong winds. | ||
| Comments: | Four walkers braved the elements and attended for this walk. The day started fairly wet and finished very wet with persistent rain in between (in other words it rained all day). Combined with the strong wind it was not a day for hanging about looking at the views, although the waterfalls were very impressive! At the end of the walk the general consensus was that we had had a good day but we were all glad it was over. On a positive note Tony’s new waterproof jacket and sealskin socks performed very well. | ||
