| Start Point: | Batridge Barn Entwistle Reservoir Car Park | Grid Reference: | SD 722 172 |
| Distance: | 8.3 miles | Ascent: | 1,200 feet |
| Time: | 4.5 hours | ||
| Weather: | Raining and heavily overcast at the start. However after 45 minutes the rain stopped and visibility gradually improved. | ||
| Comments: | 24 walkers. We avoided path via Wheatsheaf Farm to Crowthorn School because of the extensive renovation work around the former school buildings. Paths from Orrell Cote Farm to Lower House in Broadhead Clough seemed to be little used, although footbridges were in good condition. Fallen tree was impeding path at SD 728 177. (Photographs are from the first recce). | ||
