| Comments: | Three walkers attended for this outing. Following field paths, farm tracks and limestone pavements we make our way to Ewes Top. After a break for coffee we do a U-turn to follow the long ridge over West Fell to Whernside summit, where we stop for lunch in the shelter of the wall. We are amazed at the number of Springer Spaniels coming and going, we found out later that it was an outing for the Springer Spaniel Society. Carrying on along the ridge we pass the Whernside tarns before descending to the Great Wold. From here we follow the Craven Way, crossing the aqueduct across the Blea Moor train line back to the start. | ||
