| Walk: | Moorside Farm, Erringden Moor, Stony Royd, Dicks Lane, Stoodley Pike and its monument, Height Wood, Burnt Acres Wood and the Rochdale Canal. Short stretches of the Pennine Way and the Calderdale Way. | ||
| Start Point: | Hebden Bridge | Grid Reference: | SD 993 270 |
| Distance: | 9 miles | Ascent: | 1,800 ft |
| Time: | 5 hrs | ||
| Weather: | Cool, dry with occasional sunny intervals. | ||
| Comments: | Our planned start at the Withens Clough Reservoir Car Park had to be changed at 10am as the car park has been closed until September 2011 because of construction work at the reservoir site. We relocated to Hebden Bridge, but as the route passed that way, the overall route was little changed. The walk stated at 10.45 as a result of the changed start. The Stoodley Pike monument was ascended with the help of torches. Visibility was very good and the views were consequently excellent. | ||
