Walk: Garstang, Lady Hamilton's Well, Barnacre Church, Lower House Farm, Bailton's Farm, Greenhalgh Castle
Start Point: The Wheatsheaf, Garstang Grid Reference: SD 492 453
Distance: 5 miles Ascent: 170 feet
Time: 3 hours
Weather: Dull but mostly fine
Comments: From Garstang eastwards across fields & then over the railway & M6 to Lady Hamilton’s Well & on to Barnacre church. Across more fields to Lower House Farm turning back towards Garstang vie Bailton’s Farm & passing Greenhalgh Castle.
36 people exercised their legs on the stepped bridges over the railway & M6 on the way to Lady Hamilton Well. We were glad, after the stiles, that we didn’t have to cross back over high bridges with steps!
