Walk:	Foulridge Lower Reservoir, Leeds/Liverpool Canal, Barrowford Locks, Higherford, Slipper Hill Reservoir, Holly Bush Farm, Sand Hole, Cargo Café.

Weather:	Overcast at start but sunny and hot later.
Comments:	Having pre-booked lunch at a converted canal side warehouse (now Cargo Café) at Foulridge Wharf, the group of twenty-seven headed west to skirt the north side of Foulridge Lower Reservoir before joining the Leeds/Liverpool Canal at the entrance to Foulridge Tunnel. They continued south west along the canal to cross it at the lower set of the Barrowford Locks. Over the canal the party took to the shade of trees for a break before continuing the return journey via Ralph Laithe and above Slipper Hill Reservoir to Holly Bush Farm. Then passing Sand Hole the group rejoined the path around Foulridge Lower Reservoir on their return to Foulridge Wharf for a bite to eat. The route was by quiet lanes, green lanes, canal tow path and field paths. There was one cleverly hidden gap on a green lane where the path turned off to the left but some went straight on. Well you do when your busy having a good natter! Good walk, good food and good weather. Oh yes, and good leader. NB. Whilst awaiting the start of the walk we got talking to a member of a Cave Rescue Organisation based at Clapham. The CRO are organising a Three Peaks Challenge fundraising walk on the 7th August and he wondered if we might be interested.
