| Walk: | Turton and Entwistle Reservoir, Turton Heights, Dimple, Longworth Clough, Ornamental Reservoir, and Catherine Edge. | ||
| Start Point: | Crookfield Road Car Park | Grid Reference: | SD 665 191 |
| Distance: | 12.3 miles | Ascent: | 1,300 feet |
| Time: | 6.75 hours | ||
| Weather: | Rain for first 2.5 hours with clouds down over Turton Moor. Lots of running water everywhere, apart from the reservoirs! Clouds lifted as descended from Turton Heights. | ||
| Comments: | The walk took in some parts of the
Witton Weavers Way, and parts of the old Kings Highway which had
linked Bolton and Blackburn. It was good to be joined by a visitor from Tasmania and to meet Bob and Judith at the end of the walk to celebrate Judith’s birthday. |

Wet coffee stop in a dangerous spot
