| Weather: | Damp! | ||
| Comments: | 21 people enjoyed a pleasant walk in
spite of the damp weather. Chingle Hall is of historical interest
with the remains of a moat evident. Ladyewell is an interesting
Roman Catholic shrine with a lovely garden area. It offers toilets
and a refreshment stop. Haighton House can only be glimpsed from the path but the footpath passes through the well kept grounds. Apparently Haighton Green Lane, which we crossed twice on the walk, is the most expensive post code in Preston. |
