| Walk: | Over Nicky Nook and back through Grizedale | ||
| Start Point: | Scorton Priory cafe | Grid Reference: | SD 502 489 |
| Distance: | 5 miles | Ascent: | 640 feet |
| Time: | 3 hours | ||
| Weather: | A sunny day with a cold wind | ||
| Comments: | Dennis led 15 walkers out of Scorton along the Millennium path and through the fields to Higher Lane rather than slog up Snowhill Road to the beginning of the climb up Nicky Nook. It was bright and sunny, as were the gorse bushes, but it was cold and windy. The view was worth the effort but we were glad of the shelter in Grizedale. | ||
