| Comments: | We left Wasdale Head to ascend Black Sail Pass and take a little used path on the northern slopes of Kirk Fell under Boathow Crags to Beckhead. This was followed by a stiff rocky climb up the west flank of Gable to the summit. After lunch and a good rest we took a short diversion to Westmorland Crags for a full length view of Wasdale. We descended by the well-worn tourist route to Styhead and by the slanting path under Kern Knotts back to the cars. | ||
