| Walk: | Horwich Moor, Burnt Edge, Walker Fold and the 63 steps at Barrow Bridge | ||
| Start Point: | Blundell Arms, Horwich | Grid Reference: | SD 667 111 |
| Distance: | 5.25 miles | Ascent: | 810 feet |
| Time: | 2.8 hrs | ||
| Weather: | Fine and unusually warm for the time of year | ||
| Comments: | 6 strollers enjoyed a walk around Lever Park in Rivington. 23 others enjoyed a walk over moorland and through deciduous woods that gave fine views across Greater Manchester and South Lancashire towards Derbyshire, Cheshire and North Wales. Conditions under foot were generally better than expected, although the 6 inches of slurry in Yate Fold was an aberration. | ||
