| Comments: | Five walkers started in the warm sunshine with a welcome cooling down at Scale Force before continuing on past Floutern Tarn and on to the strenuous climb of the day up to Great Borne. Then we continued on up to Starling Dodd taking a lunch break on its lower slopes. Half way up the climb to Red Pike the weather started to turn cloudy and by the time we reached the summit it was raining. This continued intermittently all along the ridge so the views from High Stile and High Crag were poor to say the least. By the time we reached Scarth Gap the rain had stopped and the clouds cleared to give us a pleasant walk back to Buttermere. | ||
