| Comments: | 16 members set off from the car park at Wet Sleddale Reservoir, and made our way to Sleddale Hall, an isolated property now derelict, but it was featured in a cult film that still has its devotees. It was sold a while back with the intention of re-furbishing it so that it could be visited by these devotees, and has been resold more recently. There is a notice on a boarded up window saying if anyone wishes to visit the Hall they should contact Ian on sleddalehall@btinternet.com - just in case you want to have a closer look. From there it was across the fell until we dropped down into Mosedale and then along to the descent into Swindale, past Swindale Head and the start of the Old Corpse Road. At Truss Gap it was back onto the unnamed moor with the footpath that has no evidence on the ground. There was no problem and we were right on the gate in the wall, from where it was downhill back to the Hall and back to the Reservoir. | ||
