| Comments: | Six persons took to the lanes and field paths on this inclement day. Even the Witches over Pendle refused to come out. Perhaps their flight path was obscured by the mist over Pendle Hill. Leaving the car park the group turned right to skirt Worsaw Hill and cross the busy A59 to arrive at the ice cream shop at Chatburn. They then followed the Ribble downstream to Ribble Lane to cross the Ribble and follow the Ribble Way upstream to Sawley. Leaving the Ribble Way near to New Laithe they then headed for Sawley Grange on the South of the A59. From here the group made for Swanside Laithe, Newfield Barn and Downham. Thanks to Dorothy for being deputy leader. | ||
