| Comments: | Starting from The Calf’s Head, Graham led a group of thirty three around Pendle Witch country. They were a little early for Halloween and no witches were seen. However, the group enjoyed a pleasant figure of eight walk and saw Worsaw End House twice. The refreshment stop was taken at Downham, one of Lancashire’s unspoilt villages. Not a TV aerial in sight. Clitheroe Castle together with the cement works and the Forest of Bowland countryside could bee seen as could some autumnal tints. After the walk the group enjoyed the fare on offer at the Calf’s Head. Thank you leader and back marker. | ||
