| Comments: | 11 people turned up to walk from The
Priory at Scorton around Nicky Nook. It was a pleasant walk, not too
muddy underfoot as most of the walk was along tracks. 4 people left us when we arrived back in Scorton only to be replaced by 4 others who joined us for the meal. It was an enjoyable meal but we were saddened by the news that Alan Bleasdale had died suddenly, though peacefully in his sleep, during Friday night, having just returned from 3 weeks' holiday. Alan and his wife June had been walking with the club for a number of years. He was well-liked and made new members welcome. He was a willing volunteer when leaders were needed. He will be missed by the regular Sunday afternoon walkers. Below is a photo of him on the last walk he led round Hambleton in September. |
