Leaving Plain Quarry car park we head off into the woods . . .

where we find some very muddy paths

After navigating stiles . . .

we make our way through . . .

moss covered limestone

Once out of the woods its time for a coffee stop . . .

but all too soon its time to be on our way . . .

through varying limestone scenery . . .

before meeting up with a local resident . . .

or two

Making our way ever upwards . . .

Kath & Marie provide perspective for these interesting rock formations

Time for a pause . . .

to admire the scenery and name the various landmarks such as Arnside Knott

Our lunch spot overlooks Farleton Knott . . .

and provides lots of rocks . . .

to sit amongst . . .

whilst we enjoy our refreshments . . .

before continuing on our route . . .

past even more interesting rock formations . . .

but I don't think Norman will get much sleep here!

Ascending Hutton Roof Crags Ingleborough comes into view . . .

resplendent in its new white livery

The group gathers by the trig point before our final stretch back to the cars
