| Start Point: | Starr Gate Tram Terminus, Blackpool | Grid Reference: | SD 306 317 |
| Distance: | 5 miles | Ascent: | 30 feet |
| Time: | 2.5 hours | ||
| Weather: | Stiff sea breeze with a little drizzle for the last half mile. | ||
| Comments: | Although the forecast was for gales and heavy rain, ten intrepid ramblers boarded a tram at Starr Gate and headed for Bispham. Alas, a tram in front had broken down and we had to walk the last few yards to the tram stop. We then turned about to walk five miles back to Starr Gate using the Lancashire Coastal Way. The forecasted gales didn’t materialise and we had a pleasant walk back, calling in at a Fish & Chip Restaurant on the way. Towards the very end of the walk we did get a little bit wet by sea spray or was it drizzle? We couldn’t tell in the dark. | ||
