| Comments: | On a very sunny and frosty morning, Terry Jackson, who organised the walk and Christmas meal took forty-two of us on a 5.5 mile stroll. Departing from the Longlands Hotel we followed the Lancaster Canal tow path North towards Saltmire Bridge. Here, we turned east and headed for Priest Hutton and then Borwick. We then rejoined the Lancaster Canal (the Southern portion) to reach Keer Bridge on the canal. At this point we crossed the canal and walked back along the tow path to reach Tewitfield where the canal is severed by the M6 Motorway. At the Longlands Hotel the party sat down to Christmas Lunch. A very enjoyable walk and meal, thank you Terrence. | ||
